Bad news. I picked up a used crank and took it to a local engine builder along with the main caps and the caps wouldn’t pass inspection. The 3 mains in the middle heated up enough to pull the corners at the seam in .02 so it would be tight enough to not hold a bearing or even scrape the oil off and we’d be right back in the same boat.Dec 19, 2019 · Fluidamper has broken several cranks in DURAMAX's, they're too heavy (11lbs heavier than stock iirc), but the ones built in the last couple of years are supposed to be better.
